Holiday Wellwishings

It's been an exciting year for us here at Vanops. As we enter the home stretch for the holiday season, we'd like to take a moment to thank everyone for their support over the last year. The feedback we get from everyone who chooses to try gaming with us is positive, and we hope to only improve our offering as we continue to grow. We couldn't do it without you.

As we start gearing up for the 2016 season, we look at the areas we feel can be improved on, and a big one is our event days, the LMS missions. These events take a lot of effort to prepare and put on, we we hope that you will continue to support us so that we can keep these events happening for the local community. Be sure to keep an eye on our facebook page and forum for announcements and updates. The first event will be held on February 21, "Operation: Lovebug", and it's sure to be entertaining.

So from everyone on the Vanops team, we hope you have a fantastic holiday season with your friends and family. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and we look forward to seeing you in 2016.

Back Online!

Well, after a lot of cussing and elbow grease, we're back online!

For those of you who didn't visit the previous iteration of our website, this is the second version of vancouverairsoftoperations.com . The first version was hacked back just before the Christmas holidays, and unfortunately everything contained on it was lost. This includes contributions to the community discussions by our members, which was disappointing to say the least. With a little bit of luck, we hope that this iteration of Vanops online will stick around for a lot longer. For Monty Python fans out there, it's the next castle that burns down, falls over, THEN sinks into the swamp. ;)

So far, there's a lot of positive things to be said about the games this year. We've seen a number of fresh new faces, old faces stepping up their game AND their gear, and a lot of great attitudes on and off the field. This is exactly what we hope to see from our community, and you should all be proud of yourselves for it. One of the goals of Vanops is to create a community that is positive, open and socially responsible. If we are able to share our enthusiasm for airsoft and educate potential new players while making them feel welcome, it will only be good for airsoft.

As we've moved into a new year, I'd like to remind everyone that the waivers attached to your player cards are no longer valid. You WILL need to fill out a new waiver to keep on file for the 2015 season when you come out and play with us for the first time. Please keep this in mind and give yourself some extra time to sign in and fill out paperwork when you are coming out to play.

Thanks again for your support, and we hope to see you on the field soon!
-Mike
